The search for the "one real oyster loaf" ends here, say mollusk mavens of this Uptown "time-honored icon" that's become their bi-valve "heaven"; a weirdly wonderful old New Orleans" seafood house, it's open from September-May, when loyalists lap up the "spicy gumbo" and "great oyster stew"; "down South, laid-back" service draws raves, but unfortunately the "very clean and shiny" tiles remind some of a "subway station" or "men's locker room."
